Please help me welcome The Ramberg's to our growing Your Birth Helper Georgia team! I am beyond thrilled to announce my first official team member to our #AthensDoulaDreamTeam is named Charlotte (how ironic). Her husband Kevin was an excellent example of a Husband Coach and when we arrived at their birth place she was 9.5cm dilated and walked to her room. Needless to say they took their training and applied it perfectly to achieve a low intervention drug free birth for little Miss Amara back in October 2017.
Charlotte grew up in Georgia and graduated with a bachelors of science in psychology from Anderson University in South Carolina. From there she went on to the University of Georgia to earn a Masters of Education in Professional Community Counseling. She is a licensed associate counselor (LAPC) working towards her LCP. Charlotte works with a variety of ages and issues, but she predominately works with anxiety and depression.
She is currently working on specializing in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Charlotte and her husband met Pam while training 12 weeks in The Bradley Method® prep for natural low intervention birth and later hired YourBirthHelper (YBH) to be their doula. With their training and support from Pam and YBH, they were able to labor at home and go to the hospital only when necessary to have a beautiful natural birth. Because of her experience with YBH, Charlotte decided it was too important not to try and do the same for other families. Her ultimate goal is to see moms be healthy after baby not just physically but mentally and emotionally, as well. It is Charlotte’s desire to help make the 4th trimester a happy and healthy stage for the entire family.
We are particularly excited to soon be adding both local counseling sessions, as well as, virtual counseling sessions in an effort to strengthen the family unit, enhance marriages / relationships, and help support moms through fourth trimester changes.
